Tenby U13s AFC  v Kilgetty U13s AFC

Having lost 6-2 to Tenby a few weeks ago we were fully aware that we were in for a tough game today.

We dominated the first half but due to some clinical finishing from Tenby we ended up 2-0 down going into half time.

Kilgetty went out hard again in the second half and we managed to pinch a goal in the 60th minute to get the score line back to 2-1. In the final 10 minutes of the game we continued to press hard having a few great attempts on goal but didn’t manage to finish them off. Tenby then caught on the break with another goal to finish the game 3-1 winners.

It was another great performance and again we played some really good football which is great to see. On another day we could easily have beaten that Tenby side today.

I’ve got to mention a few players before I name players of the week who put a great effort in today. Taylor (Man of the match against Haverfordwest CC last match) out in a hell of a shift today and worked tirelessly. Ethan has a cracking game and showed his pace when we needed it.

Ollie Cook

Defensive Player of the week

Ollie Cook

Phenomenal performance today and showed a safe pair of hands throughout the game.

Layla Karaka

Attacking player of the week

Layla Karaka

lightening speed showing the Tenby defence a clean pair of heels on multiple occasions and a couple of megs to boot. Those contact lenses are obviously doing the trick and she scored too!

Parents Performance

Great turn out from everyone today which is really appreciated however the lack of atttention during the game was noticed! Picture/evidence to follow. I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here should NOT be the main topic of conversation during the game.

I would like to apologise for the misunderstanding with the kick off time. My fault, sort of!

The kids were brilliant today and put a great effort in. All well mannered and played as the game should be played.
